Extra-Curricular Opportunities
Developing the Whole Child
At St Peter's Catholic Primary School, we believe every child is uniquely created by God and blessed with their own God-given gifts and talents. Our extra-curricular programme is designed to help children discover their strengths, develop confidence and character, and flourish both inside and outside the classroom.
We are committed to educating the whole child, providing opportunities that enrich learning, nurture wellbeing, encourage creativity and teamwork, and help every pupil grow into the person God calls them to be. Through a wide range of experiences, children can explore new interests, develop lifelong skills and reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Sports and Physical Development
We offer a variety of sporting opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork and resilience.
- Sports clubs are delivered by our specialist external PE teacher at least twice each week.
- A weekly after-school drama club delivered by our LAMDA teacher.

Music Opportunities
We are passionate about developing children's creativity and confidence through music.
Pupils in Year 1 and above can participate in instrumental lessons with Warwickshire Music:
- Key Stage 1: Keyboard
- Key Stage 2: Keyboard, Violin or Guitar
We also offer guitar lessons 1:1 or paired through 'The Guitar Man' for Year 2 and above.
These opportunities help children develop discipline, self-expression and a lifelong appreciation of music. Pupils have opportunities to perform regularly to the school community.
Performing Arts
Children who enjoy performance and communication can access:
- LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) lessons during the school day (1:1 or 1:2 tuition)
- LAMDA lunchtime club
- LAMDA Little Fishers Drama Club
- Glee Club
These experiences build confidence, creativity, public speaking skills and self-belief.
Languages and Wider Extra-Curricular Opportunities
We also offer:
- Spanish Club
- Glee Club
- Additional enrichment opportunities throughout the year
Our aim is to broaden horizons, inspire curiosity and help children discover interests that may shape future aspirations.
Expert-Led Provision
All of our extra-curricular activities are delivered by experienced professionals and specialists in their field, ensuring children receive high-quality instruction and opportunities to excel.
Activities are booked and paid for directly through our external providers. For further information, please contact the school office.
Funding may be available to support lesson costs for pupils who are eligible for Pupil Premium. Please speak to the school office in confidence for further details.
