What is Pupil Premium funding?
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the Government to support children who may face barriers to learning, including those eligible for free school meals and children who are or have been looked after. This funding helps schools address inequalities, narrow attainment gaps and ensure that every child can access the same high-quality education, experiences and opportunities.
What do we do with the funding?
At St Peter's, we believe that every child is known, valued and supported to flourish. Guided by our mission to put Jesus at the heart of everything that we do, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils have the opportunities, support and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Rooted in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, particularly the dignity of the human person and the preferential option for the poor, we use Pupil Premium funding to remove barriers, raise aspirations and help every child thrive academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
